INNSiDE Wave Calviá hosts FLEM 2026 from 1 to 4 October, bringing the Festival de Literatura Expandida a Magaluf back to the seafront for four days of books, music, culture and conversation. This Art Event Magaluf takes literature beyond the traditional book format, connecting storytelling with music, contemporary culture and new ways of sharing ideas.
FLEM stands for Festival de Literatura Expandida a Magaluf and is a cultural project by Rata Corner and INNSiDE by Meliá. Rather than following the format of a conventional literary fair, the festival looks at the spaces where books and literature meet other creative disciplines, with a programme centred around conversations, cultural encounters, music and different forms of storytelling.
The 2026 edition once again takes place at INNSiDE Wave Calviá, with the festival becoming part of the everyday rhythm of the hotel. Hadley’s, the hotel’s restaurant and social space, is also involved, bringing food and long table conversations into the mix. The combination gives this Art Event Magaluf a relaxed setting that feels closer to a cultural gathering than a traditional book festival.
Across four days, literature remains at the heart of FLEM, but the idea is deliberately broader. Music, culture and conversation all form part of the programme, creating connections between writers, artists and other creative voices. For anyone following Art Events Mallorca, FLEM also offers a different side of Magaluf, with contemporary culture taking over a beachfront setting usually better known for tourism and nightlife.
The festival runs from Thursday, 1 October until Sunday, 4 October 2026. The complete schedule and individual session times have not yet been announced, so specific hours will depend on the final programme.
FLEM has established itself as an unusual Art Event Magaluf by moving literature outside its usual spaces and placing books, ideas, music and conversation together by the Mediterranean.
