Food and Music Palma: Jimena Gonik, Wateq & DeloSantos

Ben Trempat brings together vinyl, vermouth, drinks and food on Friday, 2 October, with Argentine artist and music curator Jimena Gonik alongside Mallorca selectors Wateq and DeloSantos. Doors open at 18:00 and music runs from 18:30 to 23:30, giving this Food and Music Palma event an early-evening format built around records, sharing plates and a little dancing.

The main guest is Jimena Gonik, an Argentine musician, DJ and music communicator currently touring Spain. She gained a large international following through her 2024 project 366 Discos, for which she selected and discussed one album every day for an entire year. The project turned her into a prominent digital voice for music discovery and built a community of hundreds of thousands of followers. 

Gonik is also a recording artist. She released her debut album Romantik in 2022, followed by Tierra Divina in 2024, with her own music moving through pop, soul, funk, R&B and other contemporary influences. Her interest in musical curation has increasingly moved into DJ booths as well, where she plays carefully selected vinyl rather than focusing on a single genre. 

For the Palma date she shares the decks with Wateq and DeloSantos, two familiar faces at Ben Trempat with broad record collections and an eclectic approach to vinyl. The three selectors provide the soundtrack from 18:30 until 23:30, making the evening a relaxed crossover between the island’s Music Events Mallorca calendar and its more informal food culture.

Food remains an important part of the evening. Ben Trempat is a small Palma restaurant run by chef Ana Isabel Fuster Soto, with a menu based around creative Mediterranean and Mallorcan cooking, tapas, meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. Vermouth, drinks and picoteo accompany the music throughout the evening, keeping Food and Music Palma equally central to the concept.
