La Vermutera turns Palma’s traditional vermouth hour into a playful city-wide “marathon” on Saturday, 3 October with Vermuthon 2026. This Food Event Palma connects ten bars and restaurants across the city, with vermouth, tapas, local products and prize draws running from midday until late at night.
The idea behind Vermuthon is deliberately tongue-in-cheek: instead of running kilometres, participants collect a race bib and make their way through participating “refreshment stations”. Each vermouth ordered while wearing the bib earns an entry into the prize draws, turning the traditional weekend aperitif into a route through some of Palma’s independent bars and vermouth spots.
La Vermutera has been closely connected with Mallorca’s vermouth culture for more than a decade. Founded by Xisco Albertí and Alejo Mira, the Palma-based project works with local and independent vermouths and regularly creates tastings, routes and events around the island’s aperitif culture.
For anyone following Food Events Mallorca, Vermuthon is less a conventional food festival and more a moving gastronomic event through the city. This Food Event Palma includes Agogo Pizza, Bar España, Ben Trempat, Bodega Morey, Brassclub, Cuina Vivant, La Bicicleta Roja, La Miranda, La Mona Vermuteria and La Tortilleria de Palma.
Each venue follows its own timetable, with the first stops opening at 12:00. Ben Trempat and Bodega Morey start at noon, followed by La Bicicleta Roja and La Tortilleria at 12:30, while several other locations begin at 13:00. Later in the day, Brassclub takes over from 17:00 and continues until 02:30.
The Food Event Palma also includes two levels of prize draws. Individual venues offer their own prizes, including dinners, tastings, tote bags, local products and tapas, while La Vermutera combines all qualifying entries for a larger vermouth hamper filled with bottles and preserves.
With ten stops spread around Palma, Vermuthon turns a Saturday aperitif into something between a food route, social gathering and very unconventional marathon.
