House Music Palma: Matthias Tanzmann

Over Club welcomes German DJ and producer Matthias Tanzmann on Saturday, 3 October, joined by Guri & Eider and Javitoh for a night dedicated to House Music Palma. The event starts at midnight and runs until closing, bringing one of Europe’s longstanding tech-house figures to the Son Rossinyol club.

Matthias Tanzmann has been part of the international house and tech-house scene since the late 1990s. Based in Leipzig, he is closely associated with Moon Harbour Recordings, the label he founded in 2000 and continues to run, with a catalogue spanning more than 100 vinyl releases and 200 digital tracks. His sets are known for stripped-back percussion, rolling grooves and the combination of house, minimal and tech house that has characterised much of his career.

Ibiza has also played an important role in Tanzmann’s career. For almost 15 years he was a resident at Circoloco at DC10, while his international schedule has taken him through clubs and festivals across Europe and beyond. Alongside his solo work, he is part of Better Lost Than Stupid with Martin Buttrich and Davide Squillace.

The Palma lineup is completed by Guri & Eider and Javitoh, adding local support to a night firmly centred on groove-driven electronic music. It places the event among the weekend’s Music Events Mallorca while giving House Music Palma a particularly established international name behind the decks.

Over Club is based in the Son Rossinyol industrial area and focuses its programme around house, techno and contemporary electronic music. Its warehouse-style main room, large dance floor and immersive visual production provide the setting for the 3 October session.
