Description

The Jazz Voyeur Festival returns to Mallorca from 29 October to 6 December 2026, bringing an international programme of jazz performances to Palma and Inca. The festival opens on Thursday, 29 October, at 20:00 with Trio Corrente at the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears in Palma, followed by concerts featuring Al Di Meola, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Sullivan Fortner and Hans Theessink.

One of the established names in Jazz Mallorca, the festival brings together musicians representing different generations and styles, from contemporary Brazilian jazz to acoustic guitar, vocal jazz and blues.

The opening concert features Trio Corrente, a Brazilian jazz ensemble known for its sophisticated arrangements and rhythmic interplay. The trio combines elements of Brazilian popular music with jazz improvisation, creating a distinctive sound built around piano, bass and drums.

On 22 November at 19:00, American guitarist Al Di Meola performs at the Teatre Principal d’Inca. An internationally recognised figure in jazz fusion, Di Meola is celebrated for his technical precision, complex compositions and influences ranging from jazz and rock to Latin and Mediterranean music.

The programme continues on 25 November at 20:00 at the Teatre Principal de Palma with vocalist Cécile McLorin Salvant and pianist Sullivan Fortner. Salvant is widely regarded as one of the leading contemporary jazz singers, known for her expressive interpretations and adventurous repertoire. Fortner, an acclaimed jazz pianist, brings a combination of improvisational creativity and musical sensitivity to their collaboration.

The festival concludes on 6 December at 20:00 at the Blue Jazz Club, located inside Palma’s Hotel Saratoga, with a performance by Hans Theessink. The Dutch blues musician and guitarist has developed an international career spanning several decades, drawing inspiration from American roots music, folk and traditional blues.

Jazz Voyeur Festival 2026 offers a varied selection of Music Events Mallorca, connecting established international performers with audiences across the island. With concerts taking place in theatres, a music conservatory and an intimate jazz club, the programme presents different approaches to live jazz performance.

The festival runs across four dates between late October and early December, with performances highlighting different musical traditions and interpretations of jazz. From the Brazilian rhythms of Trio Corrente to the guitar virtuosity of Al Di Meola, the expressive vocals of Cécile McLorin Salvant and the acoustic blues of Hans Theessink, the 2026 edition presents a broad selection of international talent.
