The Mercadet Friqui returns to Palma with its 13th edition, taking over Carrer Blanquerna for a full day dedicated to books, pop culture and all things geek, coinciding with the Sant Jordi celebrations.
Organised in collaboration with the Associació de Veïnes de Santa Pagesa, Lowcost Cultura and the Associació Amics de la Ciència Ficció, the market brings together more than 50 stalls featuring comics, books, video games, collectibles, board games and a wide range of second-hand and niche items. The event blends culture, community and sustainability, with a strong focus on reuse and local creativity.
Alongside the market, the programme includes a series of activities throughout the day, from cosplay animation and street performances to live music and themed DJ sets. Performances include One Man Rocks and David Rullan with guests, as well as vintage and “freak” music selections by DJs such as Selector Porco Rosso, DJ Jonash and DJ Aparicio. Additional highlights include a lightsaber combat demonstration by Ludosport Baleares and a storytelling session for children.
