Movies Mallorca: Evolution Mallorca Film Festival

The Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival returns for its 15th edition from October 28 to November 4, 2026, bringing eight days of international cinema, independent films and cultural exchange to the island. As one of the established film events in Mallorca, the festival connects filmmakers, industry professionals and cinema audiences through a diverse programme of screenings and special events.

Founded in 2012, the Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival has developed into an important meeting point for international and local filmmakers. Its central philosophy, “Bridging Cultures – Bridging People,” reflects the festival’s commitment to bringing different perspectives together through cinema.

The 2026 edition continues this tradition with a programme dedicated to contemporary filmmaking and international storytelling. The festival provides a platform for both emerging and established directors, highlighting independent productions alongside films from a variety of genres and cultural backgrounds.

Evolution Mallorca is particularly known for its international outlook. With Mallorca’s growing popularity as a filming location and creative destination, the festival offers opportunities for filmmakers to exchange ideas, present their work and connect with audiences beyond their home countries.

Alongside film screenings, the festival traditionally features conversations with filmmakers, industry discussions, networking opportunities and special presentations. These activities create an environment where audiences can learn more about the creative process behind the films.

The festival also supports Mallorca’s developing film industry by connecting local talent with international professionals. Its programme encourages collaboration and provides visibility for filmmakers working both on and off the island.

For audiences interested in Movies Mallorca, Evolution offers an opportunity to discover independent cinema and international productions that may not otherwise receive a regular theatrical release on the island.

The 15th anniversary edition marks another milestone for the festival, celebrating its continued contribution to Mallorca’s cultural calendar and its role in connecting people through film.
